MACH Preview: Friday, Feb. 11
NEWARK, Del. — Seven of the eight member teams of Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey (MACH) are in action on Friday evening (Feb. 11), beginning their final week of regular-season competition.
The evening’s six-game slate is led by an in-conference meeting between Delaware (14-12-1, 7-6-0 MACH) and Drexel (6-13-3, 0-6-2 MACH), at Fred Rust Arena. The Blue Hens, looking to upend a four-game losing streak, swept the Dragons in two earlier meetings this season, winning 4-1 at home on Oct. 29 before recording a 5-2 win at Class of 1923 Arena on Nov. 5. Meanwhile, the Dragons have only played four times in 2022, most recently dropping a 5-4 shootout loss to Maryland.
Just south of Newark, Del., Stevenson (4-15-0, 2-9-0 MACH) and Maryland (5-9-0, 4-8-0 MACH) are slated to take part in the Crab Pot, hosted by the United States Naval Academy at McMullen Arena. The Mustangs will square off against the Towson (Md.) Division 1 ACHA team, while Maryland faces Navy’s Division 1 team.
